About the Golden Retriever Club
The Golden Retriever Club of Quebec is affiliated with the Golden Retriever Club of Canada (GRCC). The Club consists of enthusiastic supporters of the breed. The membership consists of several breeders and members who are non breeders who own their Goldens as companions.

History
The origins of the golden retriever are controversial. The breed may have originated from a group of Caucasian dogs related to the Leonberger, brought to Great Britain or purchased in 1858 from a Russian circus by the future Lord Tweedmouth.
